LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED

Welcome to the MLB Play Ball Youth Camp! Here, young athletes can enjoy baseball in a fun and supportive environment. Our camp teaches fundamental skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. With experienced coaches and great facilities, we help every participant improve and make lasting memories. The Boone Foundation, MG Studios LLC, and BurdsEyeView have teamed up with MLB and USA Baseball to bring this youth camp to kids in the area. Join us for a summer of baseball where every kid can play, learn, and grow!

Skill Development and Teamwork

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY – THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND WAIVER OF LEGAL RIGHTS


In consideration of being permitted to participate in the MLB Play Ball Event held during the Battle for the Real Big State Charity Alumni Baseball Game (the “Event”), the undersigned, on behalf of themselves and any minor(s) or legally incapacitated adult(s) under their care (collectively, the “Participants”), agrees as follows:


Section 1. Assumption of Risk of Personal Injury, Death and/or Property Loss or Damage.

I acknowledge that participation in the Event may involve physical activity that carries inherent risks, including but not limited to bodily injury, illness, permanent disability, paralysis, property damage, and even death. I affirm that the Participants are physically fit and capable of participating safely. I assume full responsibility for any risks, whether known or unknown, associated with the Event including, but not limited to, injuries caused by thrown or hit balls, equipment, physical activity, contact with other participants or staff, and environmental conditions.


Section 2. Communicable Disease Disclaimer

I understand and acknowledge the risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases while attending or participating in the Event. I accept full responsibility and voluntarily assume this risk on behalf of all Participants. I further agree that the Participants will not attend the Event if they are experiencing symptoms of illness or have tested positive for a communicable disease within the recommended isolation period set by health authorities.


Section 3. Medical Treatment Authorization

I authorize emergency medical care as deemed necessary by qualified medical personnel during the Event. If I am not present or able to provide consent, I authorize medical staff to act on behalf of the Participants. I accept financial responsibility for any medical services provided.


Section 4. Release of Liability and Waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I, on behalf of all Participants and related parties, hereby release, waive, and discharge The Boone Foundation, BurdsEyeView, MG Studios LLC, Battle for the Real Big State, MLB, Play Ball, and any of their officers, volunteers, agents, sponsors, and affiliates (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from all liability, claims, demands, losses, or damages arising from or related to participation in the Event, including claims arising from negligence (except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct).


Section 5. Media Release

I grant permission to the Released Parties to use any photographs, video, or recordings of the Participants from the Event for promotional or informational purposes across any media without further consent or compensation. I waive any rights to inspect or approve such materials.


Section 6. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of the Participant(s)’ participation in the Event or breach of this agreement.


Section 7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. All disputes must be handled individually and not as part of a class action.


Section 8. Severability

If any part of this agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.


Section 9. Acknowledgment

I certify that I am 18 years of age or older and the legal guardian of any minor Participants, or otherwise legally authorized to sign on their behalf.
